Immigration Reform: What HR Professionals need to know? May 11, 2006 Where: Granite State Human Resources ConferenceImmigration Reform will result in additional obligations and regulations for all employers, with the responsibility of implementing these changes given to the HR department. Although debate in Congress is contested and ongoing, it is clear that change will be made and that employer sanctions will be increased and enforced. The HR representative must be fully informed and responsive to these changes as they occur, particularly with the new Guest Worker program.
As an alternate speaker Attorney Wilson provided a synopsis of a presentation prepared for HR personnel as an overview of immigration reform issues. He is available to provide a more detailed and focused presentation to HR associations or employers and to assist with questions as they arise. He is also prepared for onsite assistance once the Guest Worker Program is implemented.
